Are you an experienced freight forwarding professional who enjoys managing shipments, looking after customers and building strong client relationships?

This is an opportunity to join an established international freight forwarding and logistics business in Alexandria, working within a small, social and team-focused environment.

The role combines freight forwarding operations, customer service and Key Account Management, giving you ownership of shipments as well as responsibility for developing strong relationships with key customers.

You'll be the person customers can rely on – managing their freight requirements, keeping them informed, solving problems and making sure they receive a consistently high level of service.

What you'll be doing Working across international freight forwarding operations, customer service and key accounts, your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating international freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Managing day-to-day freight forwarding operations
- Taking ownership of relationships with a portfolio of key accounts
- Understanding individual customer requirements and ensuring service expectations are consistently met
- Providing proactive shipment updates and ongoing customer service
- Building strong, long-term relationships with customers and acting as a key point of contact
- Monitoring shipments and proactively managing exceptions, delays or operational issues
- Liaising with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, overseas agents and other logistics partners
- Preparing and managing freight and shipping documentation
- Maintaining accurate shipment information and milestones within CargoWise
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and the overall customer experience
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver reliable freight solutions

What we're looking for:





You'll already have experience within the freight forwarding or international logistics industry and understand what it takes to manage shipments while building trusted customer relationships.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Previous freight forwarding experience, operations or customer service
- Experience managing customer relationships or key accounts
- Working knowledge of CargoWise
- Understanding of international freight, shipping and logistics processes
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and suppliers
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, customers, deadlines and priorities
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- A collaborative, team-focused attitude
