Hours: 38 hours per fortnight

Shifts:

Week 1 - Thursday, Gynae 0954 - 1800, Friday, Specialist Gynae 0800 - 1606.

Week 2 - Monday, Specialist Gynae 0830 - 1636, Tuesday, Desk 2 0815 - 1621 and Thursday, Desk 3 0924 - 1730. (7.60 hour shifts)
Classification: HS1 $30.75 per hour

About the opportunity

The Patient Services Department is a dynamic, friendly team of over one hundred staff who provide administrative support to the clinical areas across the hospital. There are often many opportunities to grow and develop your career.



The Administrative Officer plays an integral role in the functioning of MHW through the provision of exceptional customer service and administrative support.

You will undertake various tasks in relation to the Outpatients Department including but not limited to:

Meeting and greeting patients

Patient bookings

Actioning emails

Answering phone calls and enquiries

Other duties within the Patient Services Department as requested by the Patient Services Leadership Team and the Outpatient Clinical Team.

What you’ll bring:

You will be committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience whilst displaying the Mercy values.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Preferred experience with patient administrative systems, iPM, EHS and CPF

Knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint and the ability to learn current applications within the required KPI guidelines adhering to Victorian Department of Health

General knowledge of medical terminology desirable

Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

Exceptional attention to detail is essential

A compassionate,



flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.

The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

A current Police Check and Working with Children Check

Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
