About this role
- Help young people in custody make safer choices and build better futures.
- Lead youth services and support young people through their time in custody.
- Help shape targeted programs for young people aged 18 to 25.

- Ongoing, full-time role earning $81,496 - $98,955 per year, plus super.
What you will do
As a team leader, you will support services for young people in custody. You will lead staff and help deliver programs that meet their welfare needs.
You will:
- coordinate targeted programs and services for young people aged 18 to 25
- lead and support staff who provide youth services, case management and on-call support
- complete focused welfare assessments and respond to referrals for young people
- provide transparent advice and training to staff who work with young people in custody
- help develop, deliver and review the youth framework and related programs
About you
A relevant qualification or experience in human services, welfare practice or a related field would be highly desirable. You should also understand how correctional settings work.
You should also have:
- resilience and confidence when giving advice, receiving feedback and handling difficult situations
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
- good people skills and the ability to build trust with people from different backgrounds
- leadership skills that help you guide staff, set clear expectations and manage daily work
