Orange Base Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Virtual/Telehealth Mental Health team on a 19-week contract running from August through December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver mental health care in a versatile, technology-enabled environment while based in Orange, NSW. Working 12-hour shifts, you'll earn between AUD$45.00 and AUD$60.00 per hour, providing direct clinical support to patients accessing mental health services remotely.

- Deliver mental health nursing care via telehealth, reaching patients across a wider geographic area
- AUD$45.00 to AUD$60.00 per hour, contract position with clear end dates
- 12-hour shift roster in a modern virtual care setting based in Orange

Preferred Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia




- Experience in mental health nursing or demonstrated knowledge of mental health assessment and care
- Comfort and competence using telehealth platforms and electronic health records
- Strong communication skills, particularly in a virtual care context where non-verbal cues are limited
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload across 12-hour shifts

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or certification in mental health nursing
- Previous experience in telehealth or remote patient care delivery
