About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations & Business Development Manager to lead and grow their multi-faceted business.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business development, and managing a diverse team. You’ll play a key role in shaping strategy, improving processes, and expanding the customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

- Lead and optimise operations across manufacturing, retail, and catering divisions
- Manage inventory, logistics, and supply chain functions
- Drive team performance, labour cost control, and a positive workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and quality control standards
- Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs

Sales & Business Development

- Develop and execute strategies to grow sales and market share
- Build strong customer relationships and represent the brand
- Conduct feasibility studies for new products and market opportunities
- Oversee administration, debtor/creditor management, and sales optimisation
- Analyse performance data and propose strategic initiatives to the General Manager




- Lead capital investment projects from proposal to implementation

Workplace Safety & Compliance

- Maintain a safe and compliant work setting
- Ensure timely repairs and hazard management
- Enforce company policies and procedures across all teams
- Promote a culture of safety, hygiene, and accountability

About You:

You’re a confident leader with a strong background in operations and business development, ideally within the food or retail industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy building relationships, and have a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.
