Coonabarabran District Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a six-week contract from 17 August to 28 September 2026. Based in Coonabarabran, NSW, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic ED environment where you'll take charge of triage operations and lead clinical decision-making during your shifts. The position is remunerated at AUD 45.00 to AUD 60.00 per hour, providing flexibility and competitive rates for contract work.

- Lead ED triage operations and take charge of the shift as required
- AUD 45.00 to AUD 60.00 per hour, six-week contract with defined dates
- Work in a regional hospital setting with direct clinical responsibility and autonomy

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience working in emergency department triage




- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Proven ability to work in charge of the shift and manage clinical priorities independently
- Solid assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and team collaboration in a regional healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing
- Additional certifications in trauma or acute care nursing are advantageous
