Theodore Hospital in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a four-week contract from 31 August to 27 September 2026. This is a full-time role at RN Grade 5, offering AUD57.62 to AUD73.04 per hour across 80 hours per fortnight. You'll work Monday to Friday day shifts plus weekend cover, bringing your emergency nursing expertise to a rural healthcare setting that values skilled, responsive clinical practice.

Preferred Requirements

- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification,



including ALS1 if accredited by the Australian Resuscitation Council
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) qualification
- Demonstrated competence in emergency triage, resuscitation, and IV cannulation
- Proven experience in rural nursing or emergency department settings
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to work on-call as required

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Aged Care Check clearance (mandatory for this role)
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in emergency or critical care nursing
