About the Team
The External Engagement and Partnerships Division focuses on strengthening collaboration with industry, government, and the community. The Industry Partnerships function is focussed on supporting faculties to identify, attract, scope and secure new partnerships, or deepen existing partnerships, to create maximum mutual value.
Job Purpose
This role provides commercial and business development leadership for UTS major facilities: driving BD activities both personally and through the broader Industry Partnerships team, and supporting Facility leadership to shape offerings, strategies and business models that deliver increased engagement and revenue.
Detailed Description
Role Responsibilities
Lead and carry out business development across major facilities to support impact and revenue.
Provide commercial guidance to facility leaders and contribute to strategic decision making.
Develop and progress industry partnerships across a range of engagement opportunities.
Work with the hub-and-spoke Industry Partnerships team and other internal networks to promote and leverage major facilities.
Support development of commercial models, pricing approaches, and proposals.
Contribute to negotiation of commercial agreements and implementation planning.
Monitor performance, pipelines, and outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
Experience
Extensive experience in business development, commercial strategy, or industry engagement.
Experience working with infrastructure intensive environments.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working across complex structures.
Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing partnerships.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Remuneration/Salary
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: SSS1 plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
