Yorketown Medical Practice provides community-based healthcare services including family health, preventative medicine, shared antenatal care, and minor surgical procedures, and provides emergency services to the Yorketown Hospital. The practice is co-located with the hospital and services the communities of Yorketown and surrounding townships with an established patient base largely made up of retirees and families with children under 15 years.

The practice offers the chance for diverse and rewarding clinical work across general practice and emergency care and is supported by a dedicated healthcare team including practice nurse, emergency-trained Registered Nurse, practice manager, and receptionist. There is a pathology service nearby and the practice benefits from admission rights to the hospital.

Hours:

Practice: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
Yorketown Hospital: 24 hour per day, 7 day per week emergency care (1:2)

Qualifications considered / Experience

- Vocational registration or eligible for registration with AHPRA




- FRACGP or FACRRM or qualifications that are eligible for a Specialist Pathway
- Level 3 supervision
- Recent emergency experience, or prepared to upskill
- Ability to gain credentials as a General Practitioner – GP Emergency Medicine
