In this role, you'll:

You’ll lead and manage the delivery of Transport’s contribution towards key whole-of-government priorities such as housing, net zero, economic development, and sustainability, as a leader in the Government Priorities & Precincts team in Transport Planning. Key priorities for the role include: the Helping Housing Happen (HHH) program, Net Zero Transport Sector Plan, and the Investment Delivery Authority taskforce.

You’ll work with key project partners across Transport and other government agencies as needed, to co-develop integrated transport plans and a shared program of work; demonstrate effective collaboration through proportionate co-design approaches; provide expert outcomes-focused transport advice to stakeholders to inform decision-making and contribute to Transport’s response to proposed policy reforms and initiatives.

This permanent position is located at our Milsons Point office (or alternative regional office for regional applicants), with a statewide remit. The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance and approved remote working.

About you

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant experience, you’ll balance complex stakeholder expectations while managing high-profile, politically sensitive projects in a dynamic environment of changing community, business, and government priorities.

You’ll build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team—including shared and matrixed resources— to deliver flexible, resilient responses to emerging priorities and government initiatives.

You’ll have experience developing and maintaining strong collaborative and productive working relationships to meet stakeholders’ needs and government expectations and are comfortable in a rapid-paced and dynamic environment where strategic thinking, problem-solving, and delivery on tight deadlines is critical.

You’re a self-starter, know how to build strong relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively to drive outcomes.
