The Australian Centre for Disease Control (CDC) is seeking an experienced administrative professional, for the role of Executive Support Officer to provide high-level executive, administrative and coordination support to the Director-General and the agency.

The prospect
The Executive Support Officer provides high-level executive, administrative and coordination support to the Director-General and the agency. The role works closely with the Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support the effective operation of the Office of the Director-General and the delivery of agency priorities.
This role requires sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility
Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive, administrative and coordination support in a fast-paced executive office, including managing competing priorities, preparing professional documentation, liaising with senior stakeholders, and handling sensitive information with discretion.
To be eligible for employment with the Australian CDC, applicants must also be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
An applicant’s suitability for employment with the CDC will also be assessed through a variety of pre-employment check processes, such as:
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal history check
- Completion of a medical declaration and pre-employment medical (where required)
- Providing evidence of qualifications (where required) and
- Obtaining and maintaining a security clearance at the required level
