Claims Assistant / Claims Coordinator – Insurance Building

Lincon Builders is an established and growing insurance building company based in Richmond. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Claims Assistant / Claims Coordinator to join our close-knit team.

This is a busy and varied role where you will assist with the coordination of insurance building claims from initial notification through to completion. You will be an important point of contact between insured customers, insurers, loss adjusters, supervisors and trades, helping ensure claims progress efficiently and customers are kept informed throughout the repair process.

We are looking for someone who is organised, confident communicating with people, has strong attention to detail and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

About the role

Working from our Richmond office, you will be involved in the day-to-day management and administration of insurance building claims.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up new claims and maintaining accurate claim files and documentation.

- Handling incoming calls and providing professional and empathetic assistance to insured customers.

- Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters, supervisors, assessors, trades and other relevant parties.

- Scheduling inspections, appointments and works.

- Following up reports, quotations, approvals and outstanding information.

- Monitoring claims and repair progress to ensure matters continue moving forward.





- Providing customers and relevant stakeholders with updates throughout the claim.

- Maintaining accurate file notes, correspondence and claim documentation.

- Identifying delays, outstanding actions or potential issues and proactively following them up.

- Assisting supervisors and management with the coordination and administration of building repairs.

- Escalating customer concerns or claim issues where required.

- Providing general administrative support to the claims and building team.

About you

Ideally, you will have previous experience in insurance building, property claims, loss adjusting, insurance repairs or a similar claims environment.

Experience using Prime Eco is strongly preferred, while experience with ENData and/or Blueprint would also be highly regarded.

You will also have:

- Excellent telephone and customer service skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication.

- Valuable organisational and time-management skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

- The ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities.

- Confidence communicating with customers, insurers and trades.

- A proactive approach to following up outstanding matters.

- Good general computer and administration skills.





- The ability to work independently while also being part of a small team.

- A willingness to take responsibility for your workload and see matters through to completion.

Insurance claims can involve customers dealing with damage to their homes or properties, so the ability to communicate professionally, patiently and empathetically is important.
