Younique Stays is a premium short term accommodation management company based on Tasmania’s beautiful East Coast.

We look after a collection of individually owned holiday homes across the region, and we’re looking for a Guest Services Officer to join our Bicheno team.

This is a busy, hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly.

You’ll be one of the first people our guests speak to, but this role goes well beyond answering phones. You’ll work closely with guests, owners, cleaners, trades and our wider operations team to help deliver the high standard of service Younique Stays is known for.

No two days are quite the same.

What your day might look like

You’ll be responsible for a mix of guest communication, reservations, administration and day-to-day operational support, including:

- Responding to guest enquiries by phone, message and email

- Managing a busy flow of inbound calls from guests, owners, trades and the general public

- Assisting guests with check-in, check-out and everything that happens in between

- Managing reservations and bookings across our property management systems and platforms such as Airbnb

- Helping resolve guest issues calmly, practically and professionally

- Providing recommendations for restaurants, beaches, walks, attractions and things to do across Tasmania’s East Coast

- Communicating with cleaners, maintenance contractors and the operations team when something needs attention

- Logging maintenance issues and following them through to the appropriate team member

- Processing guest feedback and ensuring important information is recorded accurately

- Assisting with payments,



records and general administration

- Helping with special guest requests wherever possible

- Keeping our Bicheno office organised, welcoming and running smoothly

At times it will be busy. Phones will ring, guests will need help, a cleaner may have a question about a booking and a maintenance issue might pop up at the same time.

You’ll need to be someone who can work out what matters most, stay calm and get things moving.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a great fit if you’re naturally organised, approachable and confident communicating with people.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Experience in hospitality, guest services, accommodation, tourism or another customer-facing role

- Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing

- Strong attention to detail

- Good organisational and time-management skills

- Confidence using computers, booking systems and online platforms

- Experience with Airbnb, property management systems or short-term accommodation would be highly regarded

- The ability to problem-solve and make sensible decisions when things don’t go exactly to plan

- A calm and professional approach during busy periods

- A willingness to work collaboratively with cleaners, trades, owners and the wider Younique Stays team

- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required





- Good local knowledge of Bicheno and Tasmania’s East Coast, or the enthusiasm to learn it quickly
