3 Positions Available | $40–$60/hr | 6–10 Month Project | Gold Coast

We’re currently seeking 1 x Refrigeration Technician and 2 x Sheet Metal Installer Trade Assistants to join an established commercial mechanical contractor working on long-term commercial HVAC and refrigeration installation projects across the Gold Coast.

These positions are ideal for experienced tradespeople and Trade Assistants with a background in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, sheet metal, duct installation or mechanical services.

Available Positions

1 x Refrigeration Technician
Pay Rate: $60/hr

We’re looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician with commercial installation experience to join the project team.

Duties include:

- Commercial refrigeration and HVAC system installation
- Installation and fit-off of refrigeration equipment
- Working alongside mechanical, sheet metal and duct installation crews
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Equipment testing and commissioning
- Maintaining high-quality workmanship and site safety standards

Requirements:

- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade Qualification
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Previous commercial refrigeration installation experience
- White Card
- EWP Licence preferred
- Own tools preferred
- Current Driver’s Licence

2 x Sheet Metal Installer Trade Assistants
Pay Rate: $40/hr





We’re looking for reliable Trade Assistants to support Sheet Metal Workers, duct installers and mechanical services crews on commercial HVAC projects.

Duties include:

- Assisting with commercial duct and sheet metal installation
- Loading, handling and installing ductwork
- Using hand and power tools
- Assisting mechanical and HVAC trades
- Working from plans and supervisor direction
- General construction and site duties
- Maintaining a clean and secure work area

Requirements:

- Previous experience assisting Sheet Metal Workers, Duct Installers or Mechanical Services crews
- Commercial construction experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- White Card
- EWP Licence highly regarded
- Own reliable transport
- Own tools preferred
- Reliable and safety-focused attitude

Project Details

Location: Gold Coast – projects across Arundel, Steiglitz and Southport
Start: ASAP / Early September
Duration: 6–10 months
Hours: Monday–Friday | 6:30am–2:30/3:00pm
