The Opportunity

An exciting prospect exists for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering team and play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of complex HVAC and building services projects.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial developments, you will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design and engineering calculations through to commissioning and project completion.

This is a role for a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges, mentoring others, and working closely with clients, project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and documentation of HVAC and mechanical building services systems

- Perform engineering calculations, equipment selections, and system analysis

- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants and contractors to ensure project success

- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications,



and engineering reports

- Attend client and project meetings, providing expert technical advice

- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and project delivery activities

- Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to team capability growth

- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, codes, and safety requirements

- Identify innovative, sustainable, and value-driven engineering solutions

About You

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

- Degree qualifications in Mechanical Engineering

- Extensive experience delivering HVAC and building services projects

- Strong knowledge of Australian codes, standards, and compliance requirements

- Proven experience in mechanical design, documentation, and project delivery

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant HVAC design software

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects

- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
