Wood is currently recruiting for a Marketing Lead on a permanent contract to join our team to support the Asia-Pacific region

Point of Hire:

- Perth or Brisbane or Melbourne

Reporting functionally to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Lead is responsible for shaping the positioning and promotion of Wood and its solutions to strengthen client understanding and support business growth.

This role sets clear marketing objectives and leads the development and execution of marketing plans and go‑to‑market strategies that increase brand awareness, elevate Wood’s market presence, and deliver measurable impact. The Marketing Lead will create and drive integrated marketing plans aligned to regional growth priorities, ensuring focus, consistency and effective contribution to overall business goals.

The Marketing Lead will own regional campaign delivery, setting objectives, consistently monitoring analytics and compiling reports to ensure there is a clear understanding of performance and areas for further optimisation and focus.

The key objectives for this role are:

- Understand the company, strategy, regional growth plans, end markets, clients, offering and solutions and how they support and inform marketing plans
- Support the delivery of an account-based marketing model in support of the key account management strategy
- Assumes an advisory role to internal stakeholders for effective brand and integrated marketing
- Develop and deliver strategic marketing solutions in support of the company’s growth objectives
- Takes complex, technical topics and turns them into compelling content; exceptional written and verbal communications skills; proofreading and editing capability
- Identifies and develops key messaging that resonates with Wood and its customers, understands the customer challenges and can create marketing material and establish opportunities to position Wood and its leaders as credible and trusted commentators
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to influence the planning, design and delivery of marketing content across key channels – taking an integrated approach
- Manages stakeholder engagements, ensuring events are integrated as part of the broader brand and campaign activation to increase awareness of Wood and its solutions
- Responsible for tracking and evaluating marketing campaign activities
- Provides direction and leadership to relevant marketing and communications team members




- Ensures timely delivery of projects and works as part of a global marketing and communications function ensuring alignment, efficiency and innovation of channels and messaging
- Drives efficient investment of the marketing budget

- University degree or equivalent in a marketing, communications or related field
- Preferably 5+ years’ experience in a communications and/or marketing role, preferably within the energy or mining industry
- Knowledge of communication and marketing methods and channels relevant to a large, complex organisation
- Knowledge of market and industry issues and trends
- Experience and knowledge of digital marketing channels, measurement tools and metrics, best practices and trends
- Highly creative thinker, problem solver, excellent presenter and persuader
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, on multiple projects concurrently and take responsibility for project delivery
- Ability to influence and lead high-performing cross-functional teams
- Champion and drive innovation and change initiatives, focused on improving quality and effectiveness
- Develop engaging marketing solutions that connect with multicultural audiences across a variety of channels
