MEGT is looking for a motivated Fitter & Turner Apprentice to join an established engineering and manufacturing business in Adelaide's western suburbs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in the production and assembly of innovative machinery while working towards a nationally recognised trade qualification.

What You'll Be Learning

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll develop practical skills in mechanical fitting, production and machinery assembly.

Your apprenticeship will give you experience in areas such as:

- Assembling mechanical components and machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Fitting and aligning components to specifications
- Working with mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Learning machining and fitting techniques
- Measuring components and checking accuracy
- Assisting with the production and assembly of machinery
- Learning how different mechanical systems work together
- Identifying and resolving fitting and assembly issues
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop

You'll get to see the process from individual components through to completed machinery, developing practical skills that you can use throughout your career.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Has a genuine interest in machinery,



engineering and manufacturing
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Likes building, assembling and figuring out how things work
- Has good attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Can follow instructions and work safely
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is willing to ask questions and have a go
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is committed to completing their apprenticeship

Previous workshop, mechanical or engineering experience is an advantage, but not essential.
