ASX Listed Fintech - Contract Role

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth, ASX-listed fintech business to recruit an experienced Group Accounting Manager for an initial 3–6 month contract.
This is a senior, hands-on role within the Financial Control team, taking ownership of key group accounting activities and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. You will also lead a small team and work closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the month-end close process
- Take ownership of group accounting and financial control activities
- Review monthly results and provide meaningful commentary to senior finance leadership
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial information
- Support half-year and year-end statutory reporting
- Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment
- Partner with FP&A; on budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee key finance operations,



including AP, AR and payment processes
- Lead, develop and mentor a small accounting team
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and greater efficiency
- Support ad hoc commercial, accounting and finance projects

About You

You will be a CA/CPA qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting and financial control experience. You will ideally have:

- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards / IFRS
- Demonstrated experience leading month-end and financial reporting
- Previous team management experience
- Solid Excel and ERP systems capability
- Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within financial services, fintech or another regulated environment would be highly regarded
