Account Executive - Insurance Broking

Most broking jobs advertise "current business" and then bury you in renewals, processing and prospecting. This one doesn't.

Tank Insurance is a specialist SME brokerage in Pyrmont. We receive 200+ inbound enquiries every month from our marketing and referral partners - and that number is growing. These are business owners who have come to us wanting cover. Your job is to look after them: understand the risk, advise on cover, quote it and place it.

What you'll actually do

- Work with new clients who come to us - qualify the enquiry, advise, quote, negotiate with underwriters and insurers, and bind cover

- Place new business across professional indemnity, public liability, property, business packs and more

- Pick up genuine cross-sell opportunities on clients you've written

- Keep clean files - accurate records, file notes and advice documentation in our systems

- Build relationships with insurers and underwriting agencies

What you won't do

- Cold call. Ever. Every client comes to us

- Bring a book. We don't need one

- Service renewals. Our renewals support team of handles renewals, endorsements, invoicing, certificates and processing, so your time stays on clients

- Fight clunky systems. We run Insight, Steadfast SCTP and our CRM to make it easier for you.

About Tank





We're a growing specialist brokerage in the Steadfast network, operating as a Corporate Authorised Representative under Metrix Connect (AFSL 525491). We handle risks a lot of brokers won't touch. You'll work directly with the founder - no layers, fast decisions, and a genuine seat at the table as we scale.

What you'll need

- Tier 1 (General Insurance Broking) qualification

- At least 2 years' experience in general insurance broking - or equivalent experience at an insurer or underwriting agency writing commercial deals (ex-underwriters welcome)

- Commercial judgement and confidence on the phone - you can talk a business owner through their cover and place it properly

- Full-time, in our Pyrmont office (Level 3, 100 Harris Street - light rail at the door, walk from Town Hall)

Remuneration

$80,000 - $100,000, negotiable on experience, plus super and a bonus structure on new business.
