Mount Isa Mines is seeking motivated individuals to join our zinc‑lead underground operation as entry‑level operators. These roles offer the chance to become an integral part of our workforce while enjoying a residential lifestyle in Mount Isa.

Details on Opportunities

Positions may include nippers, truck and plant operators across our underground George Fisher Mine Operations. Successful candidates will receive training and development to become safely competent, building a long‑term career within underground mining. These residential roles are based in Mount Isa and generally offer a 7/7 roster of 12‑hour shifts, night shift included. Roster is subject to position requirements.

Responsibilities

- Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently
- Conducting pre‑start inspections and checks
- Assisting with operational and maintenance activities as required
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Following site safety procedures and operational requirements

Qualifications





- A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic
- A willingness to learn new skills and processes
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- A current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence
- The ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- A willingness to relocate to Mount Isa at your own expense
