Your new company We are seeking an APS6/EL1 Procurement & Logistics Officer to join a high-performing government team responsible for supporting critical technical security capabilities. Working within a close-knit and highly professional environment, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end procurement, contract management, logistics coordination, asset management and operational support functions that enable important government outcomes both domestically and internationally.
Your new role
This role offers a diverse and rewarding workload, combining procurement, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, logistics planning, asset management, and operational support within a quick-paced and secure environment.
- Managing end-to-end procurement and contract management activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Coordinating logistics, travel, deployments, and operational activities for specialist teams.
- Maintaining asset registers, conducting stocktakes, and overseeing asset lifecycle management.
- Supporting budget management, forecasting, and financial governance processes.
- Preparing procurement, project, and financial documentation for governance and decision-making.
- Managing equipment, inventory, and supplier relationships across complex procurement and logistics activities.
- Identifying and mitigating procurement, supply chain, and operational risks.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers,
and external partners to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Contributing to process improvements, operational planning, and service delivery enhancements.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management outcomes within government or a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience identifying and managing risks across procurement, logistics, or operational activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.
