Role Description This full-time, on-site Expert Witness and Litigation Support Engineer role is based in Chatswood, NSW. The engineer will analyze technical issues related to disputes, claims, and litigation, preparing detailed reports and documentation suitable for legal proceedings. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project records, conducting engineering assessments, and translating complex technical concepts into clear, evidence-based findings. The role involves close collaboration with legal teams, attending meetings and conferences,



and providing expert input on case strategy.

Qualifications

- Strong background in engineering (facade, structural or related discipline) with demonstrated experience in design, analysis, or project delivery.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills, including preparing transparent, structured reports and summaries for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly in meetings, mediation, and court settings, with confident presentation skills.
- Solid understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices applicable to the engineer’s discipline.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and sound professional judgment in contentious or high-stakes situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with legal professionals, clients, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Prior experience providing expert witness services or litigation support is an advantage, though not strictly required.
