Must Have Skills

- Kafka broker architecture, schema registry, Kafka Connect, consumer groups, Confluent Platform / Confluent Cloud experience
- Eventing standards and governance guardrails/enforcement/development; event‑driven use‑case design, development, and implementation (outside of Kafka platform architecture)
- Cloud infrastructure: GCP Compute, GCS (or relevant experience in AWS or Azure)
- Monitoring and observability: Recent Relic, Sumo Logic (or relevant experience in Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, etc.)
- Platform access controls and security concepts: ACL/RBAC controls, OAuth 2.0 client credentials Flow, mTLS, TLS, certificate management, secrets management

Nice to Have Skills

- Scripting & Automation: Shell/Bash, Python
- Application debugging: Java
