The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Yatala branch on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our Yatala facility. You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency, quality and profitability across the branch whilst ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers. This position offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team and make a significant impact on our business growth and success.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily operational activities at the Yatala branch, including inventory management, order fulfilment and logistics coordination
- Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and safety
- Implement and maintain operational procedures and systems to ensure efficiency, quality standards and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and control operational costs whilst maximising productivity and profitability
- Manage customer relationships and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives and business plans
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance
- Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained across the operations




- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, financial metrics and key performance indicators

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in an operations management role within manufacturing, logistics or a related industry
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, lean management or continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with robust attention to detail
- Proficiency in using operational management systems and software
- Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
- A commitment to safety culture and continuous operational excellence
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in operations management, business administration or a related field would be advantageous
