As significant development, infrastructure and investment activity continues to emerge across the region, Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking an Investment Attraction Officer to help shape its future.

Reporting to the Manager Economic Development and working within Council's newly established Economic Development and Advocacy Directorate, this newly created position will take a hands‑on role in attracting, facilitating and progressing investment opportunities across the Fraser Coast.

It will suit an experienced and commercially minded professional who can work independently, engage confidently with investors and stakeholders, and help convert regional opportunities into tangible economic outcomes.

The role will lead and coordinate the attraction and facilitation of recent investment opportunities that contribute to economic growth, employment generation and long‑term regional prosperity. Working closely with investors, developers,



businesses, industry representatives and government stakeholders, you will position the Fraser Coast as a compelling destination for investment and provide practical, responsible support to proponents navigating regional opportunities.

You will identify and progress investment opportunities, manage Council’s investment pipeline, coordinate investment engagement, prepare targeted investment attraction collateral and build productive relationships with key stakeholders. The position will also support delivery of Fraser Coast Futures 2036 and related strategic economic development initiatives that will influence the region's future growth trajectory.

Council is seeking a commercially astute and proactive professional who can combine strong analytical capability with sound judgement, initiative and confident stakeholder engagement. You may bring experience from economic development, property, planning, infrastructure, business development, investment attraction, commercial analysis or a related discipline.

Importantly, this role offers the opportunity to work directly on major investment projects, strategic economic development initiatives and region‑shaping opportunities, with direct exposure to senior decision-makers across government, industry and the private sector.
