We're looking for a Part time Commercial & Strategic Finance Manager who thrives on interpreting numbers, seeing around corners, and advising leadership with confidence. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll be a critical partner in driving financial insights, overseeing forecasting, and guiding strategic decisions across our expanding portfolio of media products, clubs and events.

The Role

Management & Oversight

/n

/n

- Manage and mentor the Accountant, overseeing daily finance operations and ensuring accuracy in coding, reconciliations, and month-end close.

/n

- Review systems and processes to improve cash collection, payment practices, and reporting efficiency.

/n

- Lead cashflow forecasting, scenario planning, and dynamic financial modelling to support strategic planning.

/n

- Assess the financial feasibility of recent projects, initiatives, and growth opportunities, providing data-backed recommendations to leadership.

Financial Analysis & Strategy

/n

/n

- Interpret financial results to challenge assumptions and drive insight-led decisions.

/n

- Identify risks and opportunities early, and recommend strategies to improve financial performance and resilience.

/n

- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for the CEO and senior leadership.

/n

- Work closely with executive team to advise on budgets, ROI, and financial implications of key decisions.

/n

- Provide early warnings, strategic input, and regular reporting to support agile, informed decision-making.

Compliance & Governance

/n

/n

- Oversee financial compliance with statutory and internal policy requirements.

/n

- Monitor and improve internal controls, recommending enhancements to strengthen governance as the business scales.

/n





- 5+ years in senior accounting, finance business partnering, or strategic finance roles.

/n

- Strong capability in cashflow forecasting, financial modelling, and interpreting management reports.

/n

- Experienced in communicating financial insights to non-financial leaders.

/n

- Confident overseeing transactional finance staff while keeping hands free for strategic work.

/n

- Skilled with accounting and reporting tools (e.g., Xero, Excel, Power BI).

/n/n

You're a big-picture thinker with the detail orientation to back it up. You're commercially minded, proactive, and love translating complex numbers into clear, strategic advice. You're comfortable with ambiguity, thrive in a dynamic environment, and can hold both strategy and operational oversight in balance.
