Metroll is a leading Building Supplies Company based in Townsville has a job vacancy for a manufacturing/despatch operator. The companyproduces and distributes metal building products and associated accessories to the commercial and residential building industries and suppliers. Products include but are not limited to Flashings, Guttering, Wall & Roofing sheets and Structural Purlins.We pride ourselves on customer service and have a great team that are looking to welcome a new team member. The role of Manufacturing/Despatch Operator will include operating manufacturing machines and at times loading and unloading of vehicles. Training will be provided by our supportive team.
Duties Include:
- Loading Metroll delivery vehicles
- Unloading outside transport vehicles
- Clearing products from machines
- Loading products on to correct racks
- General shed cleaning and maintenance
To Succeed in the role:
- Must have valid Australian work rights
- Forklift and Car license is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Committed to providing superior customer service.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Able to take direction and work in a team workplace.
- Basic computer literacy for operating manufacturing equipment and inventory systems
- Time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials regularly.
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures and willingness to follow strict safety protocols
