We are recruiting for a qualified boilermaker for a local government role based in Ipswich. The role requires fabrication work to be carried out to ensure maintenance and repair of vehicle, plant and machinery as part of council assets. We are looking for a qualified
Boilermaker
to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and weld components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Conduct repairs, builds and maintenance on fleet equipment.
Perform MIG welding and other welding processes to Australian Standards.
Prepare materials for fabrication, including marking out, measuring, and setup.
Maintain a clean, organized and protected workshop workplace.
Work collaboratively with production, QA, and supervisory staff to meet repair and maintenance schedules.
Willing to travel within shire to attend to work.
Skills and Experience Required
Qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator.
Experience with structural steel and aluminum.
MIG and TIG welding skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
