We’re a fast-growing Property Services Company specialising in the maintenance of commercial and residential properties, along with various small-scale projects. Due to a significant increase in plastering and painting work, we’re now looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Handyman / Plasterer / Painter to join our team.

About the Role

Ultimate Work Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Plasterer / Painter & Maintenance Carpenter to join our growing team.

This hands-on role involves delivering high-quality plastering, painting and general building maintenance across commercial and residential properties throughout Melbourne. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works independently, solves problems on-site, and delivers exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Plastering, patching and painting to a high standard.
- Carry out general building maintenance and repairs.
- Carpentry repairs, including doors, frames, locks, handles and hardware.
- Install, repair and adjust fire and smoke doors to maintain compliance.
- Repair and adjust bin chute doors and bin store doors.
- Install and repair door closers, seals and signage.
- Essential Safety Measures (ESM) rectification works.
- Identify and resolve general building maintenance issues.
- Communicate professionally with clients, Building Managers and site supervisors.




- Participate in quoted maintenance and building projects as required.
- Perform other duties reasonably within your skills, qualifications and experience.
- Follow all Ultimate Work Solutions OH&S; policies and site-specific safety requirements.

- Strong maintenance carpentry skills and the ability to complete a wide variety of building repairs.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.

Requirements

- Current White Card.
- Relevant experience in plastering, painting and general building maintenance.
- Strong understanding of WH&S; requirements and safe work practices.
- Current Australian work rights.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Own tools and reliable vehicle.
