Orange Aboriginal Medical Service (OAMS) is seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Cleaner to join our Facilities & Assets Maintenance team. This role plays an important part in ensuring our clinics, offices and community facilities remain clean, safe and welcoming for clients, visitors and staff.

About the Role

As a Casual Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across OAMS facilities while adhering to infection control and workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and disinfect clinical, office, kitchen, bathroom and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain floors and surfaces.
- Empty waste and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towel and toilet paper.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Identify and report maintenance and safety concerns.
- Ensure facilities are secured at the completion of shifts.
- Complete cleaning schedules and checklists to required standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- General knowledge of cleaning techniques and hygiene standards.
- Understanding of infection control principles.




- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliability, punctuality and attention to detail.

Since its establishment in 2005 with a small team, OAMS has grown to operate across five locations, providing a comprehensive range of services to the community.

Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to:

- Undertake and pass a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Complete a pre-employment wellness check (including drug and alcohol screening)
- Hold or obtain a NSW Working with Children Check
- Current NSW Driver Licence (Class C)

Remuneration

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Award (MA ) $38.79 per hour + superannuation
