We are looking for an experienced, confident Disability Support Worker to provide dedicated, ongoing support to a specific participant in the Bundaberg region. This participant has complex support needs and requires someone who is calm under pressure, consistent, and genuinely committed to building a trusting, long-term relationship.

This isn't a general pool role, it's a meaningful, dedicated position for someone who is ready to show up with purpose every shift.

About the Role

You will work as part of a small, close-knit support team alongside other DSWs and a dedicated coordinator. Shifts include a mix of mornings, evenings, active awake nights, and some weekends, depending on participant needs.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Delivering high-quality, person-centred support to a participant with complex behaviours and Restrictive Practices
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks with consistency and care
- Building genuine rapport with your participant, their family, and their support network
- Assisting with personal care, daily living activities, and light domestic tasks
- Supporting community access and helping the participant work towards their NDIS plan goals
- Maintaining accurate progress notes, incident reports, and documentation in line with NDIS standards

About You

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field (or working towards)
- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex behaviours,



including knowledge of Restrictive Practices and BSP implementation
- Experience working within PBS frameworks — you understand proactive strategies, not just reactive responses
- A calm, grounded presence under pressure — you don't rattle easily
- Genuine warmth and the ability to build authentic relationships with participants from all walks of life
- Reliability and consistency — your participant will depend on you turning up, and turning up well
- Access to your own vehicle for travel between shifts
- Eligibility to work in Australia

Mandatory Requirements

All candidates must hold (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement):

- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check — Queensland)
- Current National Police Check (within 3 years)
