Are you an outgoing, energetic communicator looking for an immediate start? The Tangalooma Photo Shop is seeking an enthusiastic Photographer / Sales Assistant to join our team in a dream live-in casual position ! No experience needed, though experienced photographers are welcome!

This is the perfect opportunity to ditch the city, live on beautiful Moreton Island, and use your exceptional interpersonal skills to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. While you’ll be learning professional photography and sales, your natural ability to connect with people is what matters most to us. No formal photography experience needed, though you must have a genuine desire to learn. Any experienced photographers are welcome to apply. We will be hiring based on attitude, energy, and communication skills !

What Your Island Life Will Look Like

You’ll be outdoors and on the move, chatting with guests and photographing the best moments of their holidays, including:

- Dolphin Feeding: Get up close to the action after sunset and capture the magic for our guests.
- ATV Quad Bike Tours: Capture the thrill of the tracks while keeping the group's energy high.
- Desert Safaris: High-energy action shots and engaging banter in the sand dunes.
- Sunset Portraits: Making families feel comfortable and relaxed to capture their perfect holiday memory.
- Retail Excellence: Connecting with guests in the shop, assisting them to find their photos, helping them select the perfect ones and proving your excellent sales skills.
- Roster is 5 days on, 2 days off (tourism flexibility needed): We operate 7 days a week, so your weekend won't be a regular Saturday and Sunday. On days off,



you can relax on the island or head off-island!
- The Realities of Island Work: Be prepared to move! This is a highly physical, on-your-feet role where you will be working primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Because our operations follow the rhythm of the resort, this involves shift work scheduled directly around daily tour and event times rather than a standard 9-to-5. While the schedule demands stamina and flexibility, the payoff is huge—you’ll be right in the middle of the action, having heaps of fun and capturing truly unique experiences like wild dolphin feeding and riding ATV quad bikes!
