Job Description

As a Lecturer (Level B) in Applied Psychology, you will join a passionate team dedicated to preparing future psychologists and counsellors for meaningful careers and positive community impact. This is an opportunity to shape student learning across psychology and counselling programs, mentor emerging researchers, and contribute to a School that is committed to innovation, collaboration and educational excellence.

- Inspire future practitioners through dynamic teaching across undergraduate psychology and counselling programs.
- Take ownership of key courses, designing and delivering high quality learning experiences that challenge, support and motivate students.
- Supervise Honours and PhD candidates, helping develop the next generation of psychology researchers and professionals.
- Drive educational innovation, embedding contemporary knowledge, technology and evidence informed approaches into the student experience.
- Help shape the future of the discipline,



contributing to a collaborative academic culture with strong connections to industry and the community.

This is a continuing, part-time (0.50FTE) position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117,076 - $139,031 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136,979 - $162,667 per annum.

Qualifications

You will also have:

- A PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in psychology or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience, with the ability to engage diverse student cohorts and create inclusive learning environments.
- Experience coordinating courses and contributing to curriculum development, with a strong understanding of contemporary learning and assessment practices.
- The capability to supervise and support student research, particularly at Honours and/or higher degree research level.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, industry partners and the broader community.




- Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA is desirable but not essential.
