Based at our Orange depot , you’ll play a key role in keeping our heavy vehicle fleet running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a hands‑on, varied position involving scheduled servicing, fault‑finding, hydraulics, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs.

You’ll work with a supportive team in a well‑equipped workshop where safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork come first.

The Role

What You’ll Be Doing

- Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Attending to non‑routine and emergency repairs as required
- Completing accurate maintenance records and ensuring safety compliance
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and protected workshop
- Working collaboratively with other trades and supporting apprentices

What We’re Looking For

- Trade‑qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicles or fleet environments
- Strong diagnostic capability across mechanical and hydraulic systems
- HR driver’s licence
- Sound understanding of WHS and NHVR requirements
- Ability to work independently, manage your time,



and prioritise workloads
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Experience in waste management or council fleet operations is an advantage, but not essential
