You will lead small team with a heavy R&D; focus and work with the CEO to get closer to customers - you will get to know the world’s best companies and own how to go deeper.
As a leader , you will keep the quality bar high and continue to evolve. You will take the friction out of the day so that your people can do their best work safely.
Being a small company, you will also be a hands‑on engineer, working to progress the hardware product roadmap and improve hardware, firmware and software integration.
Your role includes:
- Leading and mentoring the hardware engineering team
- Working with the CEO and customers on hardware product roadmap
- Setting technical direction across the hardware product line, with a current focus on USB Power Delivery and high‑speed data transmission test equipment
- Hardware design, PCB layout, and component selection
- Firmware and device driver development in C on ARM microcontrollers
- Production planning, manufacturing support, and supply chain coordination

You
You are a senior/principal hardware or embedded engineer who already owns products end to end. You have experience leading a team and taking on commercial responsibility for your work.
You bring the following skills and experience:
Required
- Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design
- Multi‑layer PCB layout, including high‑speed signal integrity
- Firmware development in C on ARM microcontrollers
- Experience taking hardware products from concept through to shipping volume, including design for manufacture
- Prior leadership experience in a hardware engineering team
Highly regarded
- Experience in writing desktop software or android/ios apps that interact with the hardware
- RF experience (familiarity with VNAs, TDR, Spectrum Analysers)
- PCB schematic capture, layout design, and SI/PI simulation in Altium
- Experience with the USB protocol, particularly USB Power Delivery (USB‑PD) and high‑speed USB (USB 3.x / USB4 / Thunderbolt)
- Windows device driver development
- Win32 C++ application development in Visual Studio
- Experience overseeing hardware assembly, manufacturing, and repair processes
- Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers and OEM engineering teams
