This position is based at our main workshop located at 12 Joseph Baldwin

The role involves working on a wide range of vehicles, diagnosing complex mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all servicing work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Task & responsibilities

- Carry out comprehensive diagnostics on petrol and diesel vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Perform scheduled servicing, logbook servicing, and preventative maintenance across a wide range of vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Repair and replace defective components including engines, transmissions, clutches, brake systems, steering, and suspension components
- Conduct safety inspections and roadworthy checks to ensure compliance with Australian standards
- Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance
- Identify potential mechanical issues and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and service details
- Ensure all work is completed within required timeframes to meet customer and business expectations
- Assist in maintaining workshop efficiency and workflow, especially across multiple sites
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Adhere strictly to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment

Qualification & experience

- Relevant qualification:



Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel engine systems and vehicle components
- Experience working in a busy workshop environment
- Ability to diagnose complex faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply and will be preferred.
