About therole:

The Footscray Hospital Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) (Ward 7B) are seeking Registered Nurses with postgraduate qualifications in Cardiac Nursing (or equivalent) who can demonstrate outstanding clinical skills and a strong drive for continuous professional development throughout their career.

The CCU is supported by onsite 24-hour Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories (CCL) and Intensive Care Units.

As well as managing acute cardiac conditions, the unit offers a unique model of care in heart failure management. This program is a collaborative service led by the Cardiology and Geriatric Medicine teams, incorporating heart failure clinical nurse consultants within the multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Healthpolicies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional care to patients with acute cardiac conditions.

About you:

- Successful completion of a Bachelor ofNursing qualification with RN Registration through NMBA.
- Successful completion ofPostgraduate qualificationin Cardiacor Critical CareNursing .
- Demonstrated cardiac nursing experience in an acute setting.
- Competent in Advanced Life Support (ALS) to facilitate care and transport of monitored patients.
- Demonstrate excellent clinical and organisation skills.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly developed communication and teamwork abilities.
