Registered Nurse – Night Duty

Experienced Aged Care RN Opportunity

Jacaranda Village is a 75-bed community-based, not-for-profit aged care facility located in Red Cliffs, just 15 minutes from Mildura. We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive workplace, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, governance, and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our permanent night duty team.

This role is ideal for an RN with a minimum of two years' experience in residential aged care , who is confident working independently overnight and has previous experience in a leadership, in-charge or night duty role.

As the overnight Registered Nurse, you will have clinical oversight of our entire 75-bed facility , providing leadership to the overnight team while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality resident care.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

- Providing clinical oversight of the facility throughout the night.

- Leading and supporting Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers.

- Responding to clinical deterioration, emergencies and complex resident care needs.

- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments and implementing appropriate interventions.

- Medication administration, including PRN, Schedule 8 and Schedule 11 medications.

- Wound management and ongoing clinical monitoring.

- Accurate and timely clinical documentation.

- Liaising with on-call medical practitioners, emergency services, families and the multidisciplinary team when required.





- Ensuring effective clinical handover and continuity of care.

- Maintaining a proactive approach to risk identification, clinical decision-making and resident safety.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

- Bachelor of Nursing.

- Minimum two years' experience in residential aged care.

- Previous experience as an RN in Charge or on permanent night duty (highly desirable).

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

- Confidence in making sound clinical decisions independently.

- A proactive approach to identifying and managing clinical risks.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

- Evidence of current Influenza vaccination.
