We seek a qualified and experienced Head Cook to join our energetic team.
This position prepares delicious meals according to our menu and provides recommendations for seasonal menu changes and improvements.
You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste, presentation and timely delivery.An excellent candidate can follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals.
You must be exact in moving around the kitchen.
Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important.Responsibilities:Follow food safety requirementsSet up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment to maximize efficiencyPrepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)Food preparation and cooking,



also ensuring good presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedKeep a sanitized and orderly workplace in the kitchenEnsure all food and other items are stored correctlyMonitor stock and place orders as required.Requirements:Trade qualification in cookery and at least 3 years plus experience as a cook in a busy kitchen cooking Australian cuisineRegional cuisines with fresh produce is an advantageExperience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake wareKnowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)Ability to follow all sanitation proceduresAbility to work in a team and a good team playerExcellent communication skillsEnergetic 'can do' attitude supported by robust interpersonal skills
