We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team servicing a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial facilities across Melbourne.
This is a varied and rewarding role that offers a mix of preventative maintenance, fault finding, emergency response, compliance testing, and small project works. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and alongside a highly skilled service team delivering quality electrical solutions to valued clients.
About the Role
As a Commercial Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of electrical services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
- Planned preventative maintenance across commercial and industrial sites
- Emergency breakdown response and troubleshooting
- Testing, commissioning and verification of electrical installations
- RCD testing and electrical compliance inspections
- Emergency and exit lighting inspections, testing and repairs
- Switchboard maintenance, upgrades and modifications
- Lighting and power installations
- Thermal imaging inspections
- Generator and backup power system maintenance
- Completion of electronic service reports and compliance documentation
- Liaising professionally with clients, facility managers and building managers
- Identifying opportunities for additional works and improvements
- Maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes
About You
- Current Victorian A Grade Electrical Licence
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Sound understanding of Australian Standards and electrical compliance requirements
- Commitment to safety, quality and skilled workmanship
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- CPR and First Aid certification
- EWP Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Thermal imaging experience
- Commercial maintenance experience
- Generator or critical power experience
- Experience working within occupied commercial environments
- Experience in Telecommunications
- Experience in Defence work
