About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant plays a crucial role responsible in supporting the end-to-end finance function and driving high-quality financial outcomes. The role partners with stakeholders to provide insightful analysis, support strategic decision-making, and enhance overall business performance.

Combing a strong internal focus with client-facing responsibilities, the position delivers accurate and timely financial reporting, maintains robust governance and controls, and supports project finance structures. The role is a key contributor to budgeting and forecasting processes, mentors junior team members, and drives continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and efficiencies.

What you'll be doing

Support financial accounting for client renewable energy assets, including monthly and quarterly reporting, cashflow, variance analysis, AP/AR, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Oversee project finance obligations, including lender reporting, covenant compliance, debt service schedules and funding drawdowns.

Deliver internal finance operations including budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, payroll oversight, BAS lodgements and tax compliance.

Prepare fortnightly and monthly payroll.

Maintain robust financial controls, support external audits, and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.

Partner closely with senior stakeholders, including the Country Manager, Head of Asset Management, Finance Manager, Development team, and Advisory team to support financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Provide commercial insights and analysis investment decisions and business growth initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement across finance systems,



processes and efficiencies.

Undertake ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.

What we're looking for

CA/CPA Qualification (or near completion)

Proven experience (2+ years) in a management accounting role, with exposure to complex or multi-entity environments.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a focus on governance, controls and financial reporting.

Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs across both client and internal responsibilities.

Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior finance staff.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the business.

High attention to detail, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Interest in, and willingness to develop an understanding of, the renewable energy sector

Experience working with project finance structures, including exposure to debt, covenants and lender reporting (ideally within energy, infrastructure or similar sectors).

Client-facing experience, with the ability to build strong relationships and deliver high-quality service.

Experience in professional services, advisory or managed services environment.

Strong systems capability, including experience with Power Automate, Power BI and Xero.





Experience in automating finance processes, procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Familiarity with scope-of-service or retainer-based billing models.
