Your Role

As Group Leader, you will take responsibility for leading your room, delivering high-quality early learning programs, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will provide guidance and direction to your team while fostering a secure, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Where you'll make an impact

- Lead a room within the centre, overseeing daily operations and routines

- Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging early learning programs





- Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards and relevant regulations

- Mentor and support Childcare Assistants within your room

- Build strong relationships with children, families, and the wider island community

- Foster children's development, confidence, and wellbeing

- Oversee preparation and service of food and beverages as required

- Maintain accurate documentation and observations in line with regulatory requirements

- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

What we're looking for

You are a confident early childhood skilled with proven leadership experience and a passion for delivering high-quality education and care. You lead by example, communicate effectively, and are committed to supporting children during their formative years.

To be successful, you will need:

- Diploma in Children's Services - Essential

- Current Children's First-Aid Certificate, CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis

- Minimum 2 years practical experience in the children's services industry

- Demonstrated experience leading or acting in a responsible person or room leader capacity

- Current Queensland Blue Card

- Queensland Child Protection Certificate (InSafe Hands)

- Red Nose Safe Sleep Certificate

- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills

- A genuine passion for early childhood education and care
