Cook – Hospitality Graduate / Subclass 485 Visa Holder

PHO HOME is a growing Vietnamese restaurant group seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our team in Port Macquarie.

This position may suit:

- Recent Hospitality or Commercial Cookery graduates
- Candidates currently holding a Subclass 485 visa
- Cooks seeking stable, long-term employment and career development

Key Responsibilities

- Cook dishes according to PHO HOME recipes and standards
- Prepare ingredients and follow kitchen procedures
- Manage multiple kitchen duties during busy services
- Organise and prioritise tasks efficiently
- Work across different kitchen areas rather than one fixed station
- Maintain food quality, hygiene and food-safety standards
- Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams when required

Candidate Requirements

- Currently located in Australia
- Relevant Hospitality or Commercial Cookery qualification
- Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure
- Able to multitask,



prioritise duties and take initiative
- Comfortable working across different kitchen areas
- Available for a flexible roster, including weekends

This position is not suitable for someone who only wants to work at one fixed station or requires constant instructions for each task.

Interview and Paid Trial

Shortlisted candidates must:

- Attend an interview
- Complete a one-week paid trial in Port Macquarie

The paid trial allows both the candidate and PHO HOME to assess suitability for the position.

Visa Sponsorship Prospect

PHO HOME is an approved business sponsor and may consider Subclass 407, 482 or 494 visa sponsorship pathways for suitable long-term candidates.

Sponsorship is not automatic. It may only be considered after the candidate demonstrates strong performance, reliability, professionalism and long-term commitment.
