Senior Cleaner (Permanent Position)

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain exceptional cleaning and infection control standards throughout the facility.
- Lead and coordinate the cleaning team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Mentor, train, and support junior cleaning staff to achieve high performance standards.
- Monitor cleaning quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all resident rooms, common areas, and facility surroundings are presented to the highest standard.
- Assist with staff onboarding, coaching, and performance support within the cleaning team.
- Report maintenance, safety, and environmental concerns to the Property and Services Manager.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues,



contributing to a warm and welcoming environment.
- Promote protected work practices and compliance with aged care standards and organisational policies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within aged care, healthcare, or hospitality.
- Demonstrated experience leading and engaging a cleaning team.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to mentor and develop junior cleaning staff.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional cleaning and infection control standards.
- A positive, friendly, and resident-focused approach.
- Minimum 2 years' cleaning experience in a residential aged care facility.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a cleaning team.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices within an aged care environment.
- Experience working within quality and accreditation standards in residential aged care.
