Axiom College is seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Officer to join our team based at our Milton campus.

This is a proactive sales and lead generation role focused on creating new business opportunities for our Business Development Managers. You'll engage employers, schools, employment service providers, community organisations, and prospective students through outbound calling, relationship building, and follow-up activities. Your primary goal will be to generate qualified opportunities, schedule meetings, and contribute to enrolment growth across our training programs.

You'll be provided with employer databases, prospect lists, marketing-generated leads, and website enquiries, giving you everything you need to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.

In addition to business development activities, you'll support our public short course offerings by responding to enquiries, assisting prospective students, and helping process applications where required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Business Development

- Conduct outbound calls to employers, schools, employment service providers, and community organisations

- Introduce Axiom College's training solutions and identify workforce development opportunities

- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients

- Schedule appointments and meetings for Business Development Managers

- Follow up enquiries and nurture prospects through the early stages of the sales process





- Research and identify new business opportunities across the Brisbane region

- Accurately maintain CRM records and activity tracking

- Support enrolment growth through proactive lead generation and relationship building

Short Course & Student Engagement

- Promote Axiom College's public short course offerings

- Respond to website enquiries and incoming course applications

- Provide prospective students with information on available training programs

- Assist applicants through the enrolment process

- Process applications and maintain accurate records

- Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities to maximise enrolments

Administration & Team Support

- Maintain accurate records and documentation across internal systems

- Assist with enrolment administration and compliance requirements

- Prepare reports and support pipeline management activities

- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and follow-up activities

- Work closely with Business Development Managers, trainers, and administration staff to ensure a positive client experience

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in telesales, business development, customer service, recruitment, appointment setting,



or a similar role

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- Confidence making outbound calls and engaging with new contacts

- A proactive and results-focused attitude

- Excellent organisational and time-management skills

- Strong computer skills and attention to detail

- Experience using CRM systems is highly regarded

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
