AsSeniorReporter,you’llplayaleadroleinreportingandanalysingmajordevelopmentsincommerciallitigationandregulation.You’llbreaknews,writefeaturestories,andproduceinvestigativepiecesthatprovideclarityandinsightintoAustralia’sevolvinglegalandbusinesslandscape.

You’llworkcloselywiththeLaw360ManagingEditorandcolleaguesaroundtheworld,buildingtrustedsourceswithingovernment,law,andindustrywhilehelpingshapeLaw360’seditorialpresenceinAustralia.

Thisrolesuitsanexperiencedjournalistwhothrivesinfast-pacednewsenvironments,hasexcellentlegal/corporateliteracy,andenjoyscraftingsharp,insightfulstoriesforaprofessionalaudience.

ReportingtotheManagingEditor,thisapermanentfull-timerolebasedinSydney(onsite).

Responsibilities

- Produceaccurate,engaging,andtimelynewsandfeaturestoriesfocusedonthelegassector.
- Buildandmaintainastrongnetworkofsources,includinglawyers,regulators,policymakers,andotherlegalexperts.
- Collaboratewitheditors,designers,andotherreporterstodeliverhigh-qualitymultimediajournalism.




- UpholdLaw360’seditorialstandardsofaccuracy,balance,andintegrity.
- RepresentLaw360atpressbriefings,conferences,andpublicforums.
- Contributetothecultureofinnovationinagrowingnewsroom,includingexploringnewstorytellingformatsandAItools.

Requirements

Youareacuriousanddrivenjournalistwithapassionforexplainingcomplexissuesclearlyandaccurately.Youthriveonuncoveringstoriesthatmatter—andyou’reeagertobepartofbuildingsomethingnew.

Atertiaryqualificationinjournalism,media,communications,orarelatedfield.

Atleast5yearsoffull-timereportingexperience(businessorlegalreportingpreferred).

Provenabilitytoreport,write,andeditunderdeadlinepressure.

Strongresearch,analytical,andfact-checkingskills.

Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunication,withanabilitytodistilcomplexinformation.

Demonstratedintegrity,accuracy,andsoundnewsjudgment.
