Altaira are hiring Cleaners/Domestics with experience in aged care to work within reputable aged care facilities (nursing homes) across Adelaide metropolitan and SA regional areas.
Must be familiar with:
chemical handling
infection control

What you'll do:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across resident rooms, common areas, kitchen, laundry, and private homes
Perform general housekeeping duties in line with best practice standards
Safely handle cleaning equipment, chemicals, utensils, and food items
Comply with Food Safety Program requirements
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron personal clothing and linen
Operate commercial and domestic laundry equipment correctly and safely
Ensure a clean, safe, and tidy environment for residents and staff
Follow Quality Management systems, policies, and procedures
Maintain a safe workplace in line with Work Health & Safety requirements
Identify and report hazards to support a safe working environment
Uphold strict privacy and confidentiality standards at all times
Perform duties in accordance with organisational, legal, and safety guidelines.

About You
At Infinite Care we hire for heart, so our best people are highly empathic, instil a solid work ethic and passionate about making a difference to the elderly. Ideally, you have worked in the Aged Care sector for at least 1 year and the ability to “think on your feet”, communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain professional relationships with residents and co-workers alike. In addition, you will also
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is essential .
- Understanding of person-centred care principles and their application in lifestyle programs with basic knowledge of the emotional, social, and physical needs of older adults.
- Qualifications across Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle is desirable for this role. Certificate III in Individual Support is also applicable.
- Hold (*or willingness to obtain) the NDIS Workers Screening Clearance as this is essential to work in the Aged Care sector
- Excellent safety awareness to avoid our residents tripping, falling or hurting themselves - you need to be their extra eyes and ears!
- Very positive teamwork attitude , a trusted co-worker, excellent time management (we are a shift driven workplace including handovers) and always follow strict safety procedures to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.
