The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Gastroenterologist to join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive gastroenterology services to a large regional catchment population.

You will play an integral role in the ongoing development and expansion of gastroenterology services while providing high-quality patient care across inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings.

Clinical responsibilities

- Outpatient gastroenterology clinics
- Upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy
- Participation in the weekday gastroenterology consultation roster
- Inpatient gastroenterology management
- Teaching, supervision and mentoring of junior medical staff and medical students
- Participation in quality improvement and service development initiatives

Essential Requirements

- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with advanced training in Gastroenterology, or equivalent specialist qualification
- Specialist Registration, or eligibility for Specialist Registration, with AHPRA
- Extensive experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and quality improvement
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary team skills
- Experience teaching and supervising junior medical staff
