Infection Prevention & Control Manager

Lead clinical excellence. Influence organisational outcomes.

A rare opportunity to lead IPC strategy across a growing healthcare network and influence quality, safety and clinical outcomes at an organisational level.

- Location: Melbourne – travel across 12 sites required
- Employment Type: Full Time – Versatile work arrangements available, including a mix of office and site-based leadership.

Reporting directly to the Chief Quality & Risk Officer, this is a high-impact leadership role with organisation-wide influence and direct engagement with Executive leaders.

Partnering closely with Executive leaders and key stakeholders, you will drive best practice, strengthen clinical governance and enhance safety outcomes across our healthcare network.

About the role

As Infection Prevention & Control Manager, you will lead TLC Healthcare’s organisation-wide IPC program, driving best practice in infection prevention, surveillance, outbreak management and clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities





- Lead TLC’s organisation-wide Infection Prevention & Control Program
- Drive IPC strategy, governance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead outbreak preparedness and response across the organisation
- Strengthen surveillance, reporting and antimicrobial stewardship programs
- Build capability through education, coaching and stakeholder engagement
- Partner with Executive leaders to enhance quality, safety and compliance outcomes

What you’ll bring

You are an experienced IPC leader with strong clinical expertise, strategic insight and stakeholder influence, driven to improve quality, safety and care outcomes.

Essential

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control
- Demonstrated leadership experience in infection prevention and control
- Experience in outbreak management, surveillance and clinical governance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence

Highly regarded

- Experience in aged care or healthcare
- Nurse Immuniser endorsement
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Leadership or management qualification
