Senior Tax Accountant (Remote)

Ardent CPA is a fast-growing, completely virtual concierge CPA firm specializing in Tax Planning and Fractional CFO Services. Our full-time team members work an average of 35-40 hours per week year-round, with a goal of no more than 45 hours during tax season. We plan ahead and schedule our work throughout the year, avoiding the rush of trying to complete everything in three months. We value flexibility in our schedules and aim to complete the needed work efficiently so that we can focus our time on our most precious priorities (not just work!). We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant with strong technical skills and the ability to quickly learn new software. Currently,



we utilize both ProConnect Tax Online and Drake Software for tax returns. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to prioritize multiple client needs. After initial onboarding, you will work independently on many matters.

Responsibilities And Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience at a national, regional, or local firm
- Experience preparing complex Forms 1040 (including reconciling K-1 basis)
- Experience preparing complex small business returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990, etc.)
- Experience preparing complex, multi-state business and individual returns
- Ability to review and adjust financial statements for businesses
- Advising business clients on accounting applications, tax planning, and understanding their financials
- Maintain client relationships throughout the year, sharing knowledge and adding value to the client relationship
- Strong time-management abilities and self-motivation to handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and client relationship management
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient in a paperless workplace using tax software
- Ability to work from your home office (anywhere in the US considered)
- CPA license or EA preferred but not required
- Experience with QuickBooks Online necessary
- Experience with ProConnect Tax Online a plus
